During the day, the system stores the surplus solar power so the customer can use it in the evening and at night. This significantly increases self-consumption and minimizes dependence on the electricity grid.

To further optimize your installation work and the return for the end user, this system features smart protection against unwanted grid feed-in. When the home battery is fully charged and the solar panels produce more than the current consumption, HEC can dynamically throttle the generation via the hybrid inverter. This prevents your customer from unnecessarily feeding power back into the grid at times when doing so costs money, for example due to negative energy prices or feed-in costs.

The Challenges

The main challenge was the limited space available for the installation within the existing meter cupboard and the desire of the customer to be completely independent of peak loads. In addition, the work had to be carried out with a seamless transition to the current home network.
